This Examination is held by Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of Investigators in National Sample Organization - Field Operations Division and Ministry of Planning of the Indian Government.
The Eligibility conditions the candidates who intend to appear in the Investigators Examination conducted by the SSC is discussed here.
A candidate must be either
(a) A citizen of India,
(b) a subject of Nepal,
(c) a subject of Bhutan,
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Exam Pattern Of Investigators Examination
Candidates interested to appear in the Investigators Examination conducted by SSC have to write Proficiency Test, whose pattern is discussed here in this page. The exam pattern of Investigators Examination basically comprises of two sages;
1. Written Exam
Paper I: (Objective type consisting of 200 questions) - 2 hours
Paper II: (Conventional type consisting of 200 questions of 200 marks) - 2 hours
Note: Paper II (conventional paper) will be evaluated in respect of only those candidates who qualify in Paper - I (Objective type paper) at the standard which may be decided by the Commission at its discretion.
Interview is conducted for 100 Marks.
Only those candidates who secure in the written examination the minimum qualifying marks, as may be fixed by the commission in their discretion are eligible to appear at the interview.
